God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

Re: Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary
Thanks everyone, as I said there's quite a lot to catch up. I try to get out to a bird sanctuary or nature reserve at least once in a weekend so photos get backed up pretty quickly if I don't process them promptly.
Here's some more from Austin Roberts on 29 August. I started the day at LC De Villiers and decided to pay a quick visit to AR on the way home.
A Rock Dove taking off after a bath.
Cute Redknobbed Coot chicks.

Another visit on 4 October, after my KTP trip.
Yellowbilled Ducklings.
And Egyptian Goslings.
Fourteen of them (two are out of shot)! I've heard that the Barbels like to snack on these I think there are only five survivors!

A bigger Redknobbed Coot chick.
A Grey Heron.
And the highlight of the day! A Black Heron which suddenly flew from the reeds; I had just enough time to aim the camera.
A spot landing any gymnast would be proud of.
