The land in that section of the park was cleared for farmland years ago, so it's only starting to grow back a bit. The farm buildings in the background are beyond the park boundary - you can even see traffic on the N2 from where we were parked 0*\

The feast continued except for a pause whilst this youngster was captivated by a plane overhead en-route to JHB lol

Image

Duffy then popped out to keep the youngsters in check \O

Image

They had obviously been eating in a variety of places during the day, as one youngster went for a wander and came back with some padkos from down the road ^Q^

Image

Duffy wasn't content with how the carcass was lying so spent some time wrestling with it until it was more to her satisfaction X#X

All the excitement was a bit much for one of the lads and he fell asleep in his ribs =O: =O:

Image

However once Duffy had moved away he decided to try copy the wrestling moves himself, but the adult lion strength isn't quite in the boys yet ;-)

Josie finally made an appearance but fairly quickly flopped down to sleep with some of the others

We had been with the lions for about an hour and a half, so decided that it would be a good plan to take in some loops in the south of the park and see whether the lions might move for water later in the evening \O

I love that curious face where the kiddo is looking at the plane ^Q^

Nice lion sighting anyways O:V

Doesn't the latest of Josie's litter have names yet?
