How the brownie got away only it knows.
The lioness then returned to the waterhole to show us how pretty she was.

Wishing I was in the KTP

Most likely she only wanted to chase the hyena away from the waterhole Exciting all the same

Hi Peter
We are hoping to be there from 23 May for 3 weeks.
Not too sure of our chances though, but we are praying
[/quote] We are about to cancel /Postpone our booking to Kruger in Sept ..The Parks should be open then but Jane with her lungs/Asthma and my age cant get this Virus ..So we cant for example use the communal Bathrooms en route and at Shingwedzi ..same for Kgalagadi I guess..So this year we are planning to go to Karoo farms ..One near Steytlerville for example with 1 Stand on a lonely Mountain with a flush loo and a Donkey (Woodfire ) Geyser..Nice Astro Photography , Brilliant walks and My Border Collie gets to come ..Jane has just told me Botswana is closed for 6 months so there I was hoping to phone them in Gabs on May 1 for April next year at Rooiputs but then I havent got a Wildlife lens yet and Japan is a mess so dont think Nikon will be announcing their 100-400 Mirrorless lens anytime soon..one disadvantage from changing from DSLR to Mirrorless..Good luck for May

My favorite Lion shots I try and take are those head on ones approaching one. This image of her approaching is superb ..what light and what a sighting with the Brownie

Doubt it the Lion and Hyena are Competitors in the wild ..and she would have killed it as the Dominant Predator ..Kalahari lions take no nonsense..far different from my Border Collie chasing the Neighbours cat out of my garden for afternoon sport
