Some of you might know that we had a fund raising trip on the yellow side called 'The Brownie Mission'. We set out to find the elusive Brown Hyena in Kruger!
Thanks to the great publicity of the project, I got an email a couple of days with this photo:
A brown hyena taken by a Sanparks employee - Robert Spaan!
Taken on the S35 Lindanda road in December 2012 while we were doing the fund raiser!
The S35 some of you might know as the harry wolhuter memorial road, which is a 15km road that starts 4km North of Tsokwane on the H1-3, and meets up with the S37 Trichard road that leads to the Sweni bird hide.
So there you have it! Brown Hyena are in Kruger!
The fact that it is on the far Eastern side of Kruger, supports the theory that nomads move into Kruger from next door

I still don't believe it!!
Sometimes it’s not until you don’t see what you want to see, that you truly open your eyes.

Re: Brown Hyena in Kruger
It depends on your interpretation I guess -O
I say it is won, because there is proof of BH in Kruger
But I'm not sure how the mites will feel about the photo being taken by a Sanparks staff member -O
There is another proof photo of BH in Kruger near Pafuri, but I can't seem to get hold of the person who could provide the photo
