Right , now everyone's had their say about the Cape , lets try to continue . Internet seems to have been restored , and hopefully will continue without too may interruptions .
Just a few months ago , we at the start of winter , vineyards were either gripped in the grim , dark clutches of miserable weather , or , maybe , beautifully attired in autumn colours , like the Hex-river valley shown here , just north of Worcester :

And the rains would come , and the wind , and the storms , blowing , blowing incessantly , for days on end , and the grass would turn a bright green , in stark contrast to the brown of high summer
And one morning you wake up , and find a warm breeze on your cheek - and people say - that's a " berg-wind " , which can cause the day-temperature to suddenly go right up to 30 degrees Celsius - in winter ? .
When suddenly , it turns cold again , a northerly wind blows , and we are back in middle of winter again

You have a surprising climate, but quite nice if it is not too cold, nor too windy and not too warm in the middle, which is bad too
