I suppose most people don't realise that they aren't allowed in the parks. I had been wondering about it a while back and had to look quite hard before finding out that they aren't. Kruger information is a bit more explicit than other parks, but the rule is the same.

I like the idea of shooting them down as well =O: =O:

Oh and a similar kind of topic - action cameras on long poles... this sort of thing:

I've seen a lot more people with them in the parks lately, often sending the pole a fair way out the window to get low-to-the-ground shots like this

Are those allowed -O-

Maybe it depends on the situation Lis -O-

I can understand that they shouldn't be used if you're interfering with animals by getting too close, but equally they are just a camera. Let's say I have one attached to the front of my car to take video/pics... that's surely ok?

:-? I suppose you are right. We are sitting in big metal boxes, so that little thing is nothing compared to a car. I was thinking about the animals and getting too close as you said and many are very curious, especially cubs and young animals -O-

You are not even allowed to stick your arms out of the car window, so sticking out long poles must be forbidden, I think -O-

Perhaps a good toy to get a photo of a snake you encounter in a bird hide or under your bed =O:

I think you're right Toko - on both points =O:

Probably on a stick out the window isn't allowed, but I guess if I put one on the bullbar of my car then that would be fine \O
