Some great news from Addo is that the lion population is now up to 15. Josie has a new litter of 3 cubs about a month old

Re: Addo Outings 2017
I'm glad I hadn't known that on Friday yet, PJL... One month old, oh my gosh, I envy those lucky people who got to see them that morning.
But still I need to tell my little story here: After Spots and I had left Mountain Zebra on Friday we figured that with the easy traffic we encountered we'd have about 90 minutes to kill at the airport. Not a good prospect after coming out of the wilderness. So I came up with the plan to cut through Addo for a quick tour, thanks to owning a Wild Card... As it was still a bit tight time-wise I thought it might be a good idea to get in touch with PJL to see if it was worth the hassle at all. Josie and her new litter plus the older girls seen at Harveys... hmz... doable from the south gate. Off we went. We drove up to the spot and immediately knew that someone was still around as there were at least 15 cars parked. We saw the reason straight away because either Duffy or Dawn was sitting out in the open next to a bush causing quite some commotion among the kudus and warthogs nearby. She quickly decided to have a go at the kudus, but she was never serious about it and basically just chased them because she could. All of that lasted like two minutes and even if we were in a further away position (coming down the hill you could also see her, not only standing on the loop itself), it was an amazing ending to our trip!
Thanks for your help there, PJL!

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.
