Peter - from Skukuza I did the S1, S3, H1-1 loop in the hope of seeing Sable there. No luck. Also tried some of the roads west of Satara with similar results :-(
Stay at Talamati for 3 nights and stay at the hide 09h00 - 11h00 and tick your sable

Yup, This isn't going to a "On Day 1 we did X drive in the morning, then Y drive in the evening"...and saw...

More like just my general impressions of the trip.
