We headed back to camp and decided to get a drink on the deck. There were some ellies near the low-level bridge.
While enjoying the view, I noticed someone looking at me, and we seemed to recognise each other at the same time...it was Bushcraft! They had just arrived after driving up from Toti. We said hello to The Cow and 2 of the girls (Hawkeyes had stayed at home), and then we had a quick catch-up. Unfortunately, they were on their way to Skukuza, and as we were leaving the next day, we couldn't organise a get-together.
We didn't chat long as they were tired and keen to get to camp and relax, but it was great to see them again.
For our afternoon drive, we decided to head up the H10 and back on the Mlondozi loop.
A hippo out of the water at the low-level bridge.
A buff in the water.
Pied Kingfisher.
Zebbies.
We finished the loop with time to spare so decided to head back down the H4-1. The big buffalo herd was still there.
A decent-sized ellie.
Purple-crested Lourie.
We went back to Sausage's tree and parked there for a while, only to see Bushcraft and Co. approaching. I had told them about our leopard sightings, and the lure of finding them was obviously greater than their weariness.
Unfortunately, we didn't find him and soon had to head back to camp, but we did find the same 4 lions that we had seen in the morning.
For dinner, we had ribs and chicken and made the most of our last night in Kruger.
