I don’t know about the spurfowl, but I went to my original destination, Sable Dam.

Where I found a big herd of impalas

And the fruits of a red bush-willow attracted my eye

and as usual a couple of birds, a magpie shrike and a swallow/swift which were too far away

Back on the H9 I was wondering why a windmill offered to the park was left in such dire conditions. It does not look nice and if I were the donor I would feel rather offended

There were thousands of European Rollers and almost as many Lilac-breasted ones around, but I still insist on taking photos hoping in vain that one day I’ll manage to get real nice one (without buying another camera is implied O** )

The same goes for all the other far away birds like this one, a Cinnamon-breasted Bunting

Loved the little foal in-between all the Impala with its fuzzy fur . ^Q^

Know the feeling with the birds we used to have access to some super equipment before (rugrats used the schools professional 400 & 500mm lenses) and now we can get nice pictures with what we have but that extra bit of detail is always just out of reach O** lol

What a lovely selection, Lis! ^Q^

That is a very big lioness!

Hmmm....once Kruger becomes only for the rich and famous one must stay there and visit all the waterholes in the area during winter! ..0.. ..0..

I love the monkeys on the golf course! lol

And the zebra kindergarten... :-0

The H14 is a GREAT road especially the little bit that you go off road right down to the River ..one day I will get that leopard that lives there ...Cant believe how green it is ..so I reckon it will also be green when we go there in Nov (Shingwedzi )
