It's always a pleasure to show the tuskers here....
Just received another picture, made a week ago of Mashikiri.
Reason to show him again: Next to the big boys I am focussing on the promising ones. This picture of Mashikiri shows his tusks and they are not very long at the moment but his "potential" is the thickness of the tusks. I think Mashikiri's tusks will grow well in the coming years so a nice challenge to follow him and see how he developes.
Having said this I am afraid several of the named big tuskers are not around anymore, like Nwashinangana and others. A reason more to "follow" the potential ones.

I've been meaning to post these pictures for a while. All taken during our last |Kruger visit in April.
Sometimes I find it diffivcult to tell whether an elephant is a tusker or not. This one taken in the Lower Sabie / Croc area.
Near Shingwedzi, I think this is Nkombo.
Can't ID this one. Taken at the turnoff to Mopani Camp.
I found this one on the S56 Mphongolo Loop.
