I thought that there would have been vultures when you returned to the elephant carcass the third time
The lone buffalo with a calf looks really miserable
The Kudu looks completely wrong, kind of kangaroo look
The mini elephant is soooo cute
Elephants at Hapoor is always a great show
How far away from Addo do you live?

Bloody marvelous trip, Peej!
Interesting the steam rising off the ellie carcass, maybe the stomach contents still fermenting?
And the humpback kudu is brilliant!!
Looks quite dry suddenly!
As always.

Addo never normally gets any vultures as the cape vulture colonies are so far away and there isn't really much terrain that would suit their nests nearby. However the day before we went there was a cape vulture at the carcass... only the second time I've heard of one being seen in the park

Definitely some decomposition still going on with the carcass to give it the morning steam. The stench was something else
Very dry in the north of the park... animals not looking so healthy there, but the south is very green in comparison
