The list from SANParks included the baboon and vervet monkeys, but who have ever seen one in the park. Adding to the rare list is OK, but I doubt if we will complete the challenge if included under Kgalagadi. If we stick to all parks mentioned I am sure some-one took a pic in Mokala or CKGR. Lets include this one under the list. I can update then. (What points shall we give it )

Looks like every one is catching on and I can start off with some scoring. . Any one can start a new specie and the other pics can be added to the first poster. The rest I will copy over to mine and add the name of the photographer. I think that will be the easiest.

Alternative I can make a 2nd post and all is kept under my name and easier for me to update. Toko will do the sweeping . Toko let me know if I must do all the additions and you will remove the original post. Less work for you, except cleaning up.

We can allow more pics per animal and if anyone has images of spoor it can also be added. I thought of a maximum of 8 per specie to include male, female and babes.

The next question will be how do I get points if there are already 8 pics. My thoughts are to post and I can add it to your score and move it to the chat thread or keep it but move it under post no 1 of the same specie (for that I need Tokos help ). Seems like we might need to vote for the best pic if there are too many, e.g. lions, springbok, wildebeest. -O -O -O .

Keep on adding ; with those high scores on dassies and other rare species we are going to battle to keep up.

I think, we copy the double ones in the post of the member who posted first, so nan's Honey badger go into your post.

I will "merge" if there is anything else and then delete the surplus posts.

i am still busy researching what a proper KTP mammals' list should look like, but can tell you the SANParks one is a mess

Mel, You can add more of the same specie, but 1 per person, except if it is a unique sighting like the warthog or quite different from the rest. I am posting two at the moment but will have to decide in the end which one to delete if there are more than 8 pics.
