Re: Sirheni Bushveld Camp
I heard yesterday that they won't rebuild the Sirheni dam. That is so sad. The camp is not the same without the river
Next trip to the bush??

Re: Sirheni Bushveld Camp
Was there not some water anyway, Alf? Water was there right through the dry season in 2012, not much, but you only need a bit?
Or did the dam break after that?
Great pic, Peter!

Re: Sirheni Bushveld Camp
There was a bit of water infront of unit 10 and the boma. The rest of the river is dry. But i must add that the camp are looked after by Paul that welcomed us at reception. I see 3 bungalows were newly thatched and everything super clean and nice. Well done Sirheni

Sirheni 2015
Sirheni is my absolute favorite camp
We got unit no 15, unpacked and enjoyed peace and quiet. Only 3 units occupied for the night.
Our view of the dry river, so sad that SP won't rebuild the dam wall
View of no 14
No 15 stoep
Elephants in the river infront of cottages 9 and 10
View of cottage no 8

Re: Sirheni Bushveld Camp
Now one can see the difference when the river are full and when dry. It's like two different worlds.
