O/\ O\/ ^Q^ Flutts!

Do they just speak spaghetti on the tours - or English? -O-

Those old Romans were well-built indeed!

(If not so well-endowed? --00-- )

Why no pics allowed of the ceiling? 0-

Now it is Pompei's turn O/

Luckily I have seen it all, before tourism started its boom O\/ O\/

As I told Vanessa, we used the churches to cool down on the hot days, there is always one around ;-)
At least they do a better job at preserving their heritage than we do!!

It must be really amazing to see the works and artifacts in person just a pity it is so busy that you have to go with the flow . :O^
Luckily we had pre-booked so we could skip the line. I also wouldn't have waited for 4 hours. It was busy, but you can spend as long as you want in the museums...no rush. ;-)

All the tour guides speak English. I'm not sure why you're not allowed to take photos in the Sistine Chapel, but there are guards everywhere to make sure that you don't. -O-

-O- Sure I remember reading that the ceiling was damaged by all the flash photography before it was restored and afterwards they ruled that no more photos could be taken to preserve it \O

Even where you are allowed to take photos, mandatory NO FLASH! IMO they let in too many people at a time, which is also dangerous for the paintings; body pollution ;-)
