Thanks Lisbeth - Looking at Roberts I would say that you are correct.

I will change the name above the photo.

SUNDAY 29 SEPTEMBER 2013 - Part 2/2

The rest of the Africa Wild Bunch were on their way home leaving Joan, Pete, Margie and I to see some game.

Not a very good clear photo but a first for us
Golden-breasted bunting.

At Makorwane Hide this zebra was really enjoying his dust bath.
Image

There were some giraffe and wildebeest grazing on our left when an elephant and some zebra wandered into the picture making for a nice 4 in 1 photo. Someone on another site has suggested it would make a lovely jigsaw puzzle picture.
Image

A few more elephant followed on down including this mommy with her baby - there were 19 elephant in total.

Image

Not sure what this teenager was up to - cleaning his teeth maybe??????
Image

On our way back to camp for lunch this kudu posed rather nicely for a portrait photo.
Image

Our afternoon drive did not produce much but as we were driving past the Malatse Dam a guy waved to us to come down to the waters edge. A huge thank you to this unknown gent for this is what we saw. Apologies for the rather grainy photos but it late afternoon, directly into the sun and they were in the shadow of an embankment. In hindsight maybe the ISO should have been pumped up a bit.

We just loved this cub warming his tummy.

I took this photo as we entered Manyane little knowing what it was to bring later in the evening.

We did not braai this evening as we had plenty of left overs and were busy eating when all of a sudden there was a flash of lightning and crack of thunder. The rain started and a short while later some hail and strong wind that sent us scampering into the chalet to finish our meal. Just as quickly as it had arrived so the storm subsided into a gentle rain. It was so nice to go to sleep with the sound of rain on thatch.

I am of the opinion that the Africa Wild Bunch can be very pleased that they had already left.

Next: A very cold and windy day.
