That is exactly what I thought! 15 or so nymphs squashed into that ovi sac. Shame 1 died and is just a shell blowing in the wind next to the female. I have been watching every day. And will keep my eyes on the little ones for sure

Just got this response:

"Galepsus, with some exceptions, cannot be identified on a photo, to the species. It is necessary to prepare the male genitalia or to do barcoding."

Should we just post it as Galepsus sp.?

Also, how do you want to proceed with the presumptive Miomantis specimens - three entries, or combine the 2015 pics in one entry and a second for the 2016 ? :ty:

Well, I am happy to hear that we are right with the Galepsus ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

Perhaps just post it as Galepsus sp and say what is recorded from the area and post what we have for the two subgenera.

Re Miomantis, I think two entries with the first ones combined

I did the Galepsus entry, but you have a much more knowledgeable grasp of that genus, so feel free to add, delete, etc 0/0

Also, I see I have, in addition to the 2015 and 2016 Miomantis specimens, one from 2018 as well. Will post it here tomorrow to confirm that I include it with the 2015 specimens.
