Not a really great captures, but a wonderful memory for an exciting encounter :-0 At Urikaruus we had a young Verreaux's who would hoot often during the night and in the early mornings. It sat around the waterhole for a lot of the time we stayed there, but one night it landed upon our bedroom roof. With hardly any noise but I still knew it was there. The small noises like ruffling its feathers gave it away O**

One of our best lion sightings…

Apart from him being a beau, we definitely did better than this in the past

Also a tawny eagle in dismal weather, but with a fresh kill. We watched him until it was done with it.
Through my camera I had thought it was some kind of lizard, but by now I could make out that the prey
was a snake. I think it was a mole snake.

And this is the ultimate proof in my opinion, that ostrich eggshells don't really exist for decoration and stuff.
The chicks don't really hatch, they just grow flightless wings, legs and necks with heads right from the egg.

These pics are certainly not boring, quite the contrary O/\ O/\

A wonderful owl experience, a very handsome lion, a very cute mongoose ( how things change; we saw loads ), a new side of the bee-eater, never seen one singing lol , the story and pic of the chicks are hilarious =O: =O: and finally a tortoise ghost O:V I forgot the tawny with snake \O
