It's a nice camp but traffic going out in the evenings can get busy. We saw a guy passing us on the Friday going towards Satara and he came back at 19:30pm.... Hope he got a big fine

Next trip to the bush??

Let me think......................

The Schoofs were a cricket family, Dudley was a provincial umpire I think?

Quite few old rare photos taken by them in publications years ago. :-0
Oh didn't know that. For how many years did these guys sign a contract with SP to use these donated cottages -O-

great that you spotted secretary birds X#X
The area had rain the week before we arrived so didn't see many animals at the webcam.

We had an early braai and then made a nice fire while watching the webcam. By 9pm we were still waiting for animals and decided to call it a day. We wanted to leave early the next morning but couldn't get up....

We ended up staying in camp the whole day taking the little aliens for a swim and some ice cream at the shop. Then at 5pm we saw lots of vultures in the air just above camp and all of a sudden they started dropping one by one not far away from the tar road. Then chaos kicked in and we decided to jump in the car to go and see if it was a kill.

Why found these very close to the road and the others were deeper into the thick bush

This tawny was watching them

We couldn't see the rest of them and decided to return to camp for our last braai at Orpen camp

I bet that you did not see any animals if you were looking at the webcam =O:

Sometimes staying out of the car is not bad ;-)

Nice vultures \O
