Thanks, AWSpokesperson! X#X X#X X#X

I reckon our concerns are the same as with the previous EIA....

Habitat interference, added tourist numbers on already overburdened roads, 24-hour access leading to more disturbance and security issues especially as this is prime rhino area, no reason other than commercialisation, which is not SP's main reason for existence, no matter what they say....

No reason for this development as there are other luxury concessions nearby, which struggle to make ends meet!

New EIA Malelane Lodge,....

What concerned me actually did come about,…

New BAR Malelane Lodge,…..
A basic assessment report to be rendered re,- DEA ref,.14/12/16/3/3/1/1280,
a number that will be stipulated on any correspondence for any issues to be
noted on record, regarding said controversy,.. please apply this practise,..

Today was good to meet, Dereck Millburn, Mandy van der Westhuizen, our
host’s, the developer Mr. and Mrs. Wright, Dr.S Joubert, Mr. Furnsby
and Mr. and for the life of me I cannot recall this young mans surname!!
F Essrich That's the name!! Appologies,...
And that was it!!, limited in attendance yet profound to the core.

A rather unsettled scenario came about for us IAP’s to learn that this meet was only a
To be a general social open discussion, yet formal in the sense that our input would be
Noted regarding the scope of said endeavour. A BAR,(Basic assessment report)

This process in future no longer will require a full EIA, but only a BAR.

It was discussed to insight and reassurance was given that the basics still remain
The same. Strategic studies will remain priority. A base for argument!!, so to speak

Call this phase 1, Groenkloof,.. phase 2 pending Malelane,..which I thought to be
A site meeting to discuss relevant issues, but rather only a meeting to accommodate
Local IAP’s. Hence a proper site surveillance would be on own account.

The minutes of the day became the issue of concern. It was noted that communication
Amongst AIP’s and Sanparks was a case of little concern bordering huge neglect from that side regarding conservation issues. A scenario of non negotiable issues and please do me a favour, “I,m important attitude!!”, have no time to waste!!!!

It was noted that it would take no effort at all to call a meet between .gov and IAP’s
Soonest,..let’s first see out the 25th meet local to IAP’s,..

Because legislation, a downscale in footprint and a host of
other alternatives lend too a new perspective. A new mission
called tented hosteling!!!?? Not quite sure about this tangent??

Ok, are there already any plans available to show the footprint and the extent of not tented buldings etc?

There are Toks. Basically, at a distance, the basic initiative seemed
unperturbed, that is to say the presentation on the wall, except for the
last pic,..and discussion around this topic,....

We are trying to suffice a market somewhere between Tambotie style
accommodation and the private lodge concessions.

The last picture on the wall, new to me, though familiar,

"Tambotie" with a added touch,...

Let's just allow for those along the periphery of this venture
to have their one on one!! They are entitled to that!,...

Time and space for all, we need to respect that!!
