In a more open area the typical Kruger antelopes could be seen as well and besides the wildebeests, zebras and waterbucks

Image

we came across more giraffes on the other side of the road so it was overall a lot of animals around.

Image

More zebras forced us to stop again for a short while,

Image

however, that youngster in the high green grass needed a bit more attention from us

Image

Image

and so did another adult zebra who posed simply so nice.

Image

So far we were in vain looking out for a martial eagle during that trip but luckily same sat this early morning on a branch of a dead tree so same could be ticked now as well.

Image

Image

We even detected a still very relaxed buffalo herd and

Image

we meanwhile turned into the S58 – The Dzundzwini loop – also for us always a nice drive and a must whenever in the area and close to the turn off where you can drive even up the hill at an open area we noticed masses of elephants in nearly all sizes.

Some were busy with a waterhole whilst

Image

others already finished with their morning routine

Image

and some youngers were in a playful mood.

Image

Image

A larger herd started already to disappear in the distance in the green vegetation

Image

but also at that sighting we took our time and stayed with them.

Image

After we had enough we finally carried on at stopped for another raptor

Image

and another brown snake eagle must say that we so far never saw that many

Image

of them during one trip as during this one.

Image

Close to the turn off into the H13-2 we also detected a lone buffalo bull in his private pool

Image[/URL]

and also here we stood a bit longer as we simply do not wanted to leave the park

Image

but after a very short visit to Punda Maria camp we finally left the park and luckily the drive back to Johannesburg was uneventful so we arrived there safe and sound.

The end – Finally! \O

We could watch and photograph zebras always for hours and luckily they do occur everywhere in the park ;-)
