I couldn't ID it, as it's not in my SA Insect Guide, but it looks exactly like ladybirds/ladybugs do, as far as size, body structure, etc. If anybody can help w/ an ID please do so, would be most appreciated!

Thanks for posting on the ID thread. I hope someone can help. I posted it here in the USA on "What's that Bug" (or something like that), and they weren't able to identify it definitively. Surely there is a South African insect society, etc. that can help out here. Anyway, thank you for taking the initiative to help me out.

Thanks so much for the link. I have Bookmarked it for my future reference. I did go through all 499 pics in the beetle and bug albums, but found nothing that matched, or even close. Having collected insects (especially lepidoptera) in many countries, I really have a special interest in insects, so thanks for your input.
