Eventually we arrived at Walvis Bay….and here I certainly made up for the lack of photos during the past couple of hours….a quick drive around the lagoon and the saltworks gave me the following…
Greater and Lesser Flamingo…
Pied Avocets…
Lesser Flamingo in flight
Chestnut-Banded Plover ( #205 for the Birds captured Challenge)
Caspian and Swift Terns...their red and yellow bills were a dead giveaway…
And something I had not seen before at the salt works were Jackals..
And something I had never ever seen before in all the thousands of flamingos that I have seen is one sticking it’s tongue out….just how rude is that ?????
Again I was smiling….the afternoon’s photography drought had been broken…
