I love his photography and the enthusiasm for the smaller majority in the animal kingdom ;-)

The big "ladybirds" look interesting \O
A very tatty butterfly and the big Ladybirds have been ID'd by Toko as Ladybird Bugs - as against normal Ladybirds which are beetles.

I like birds too, I usually don't have the right lens on the camera when I'm at home.

Thanks for the IDs \O

It's been a fascinating experience, I had no idea there was such a variety of these creatures in such a small area. I don't know how many different creepies I've found in my garden but it must be more than 50 by now. The photography is pretty challenging too, and highly frustrating at times, especially when I see a new bug and it flies away before I can get the camera on it - like the Oriental Bee hawk-Moth a couple of weeks ago.

There were a few Red Bishops around.

and some Gyppos.

As I walked past the resident troop of Vervet Monkeys, I managed to get between this youngster and its Mom! He started to scream and Dad came along to see me off.

Last, but not least, another Dragonlfly. A Banded Groundling I think.
