Although this topic was opened a long time ago, I want to share my experience with you, while on a nightdrive in satara.
Before going we asked if our own ligth was allowed, which it was. Because there where three different people in the group with extra lights, it was an easy search for animals, so we could go a little faster ;)
First thing we spotted was a spotted hyena, the one that people feed, so nothing spectacular.
After that we some subsequently the following species: Civet, Genet, AWC, Serval, Lion, Hyena (spotted); porcupine, side striped jackal and another AWC. All in all we were absolutely not disappointed (how to spell this word?

), since we were - instead of two hours - over three hours in the bush, enjoying the great wildlife and possibilities given to us. We also saw a lot of other animals, like elephants, zebra and buffalo. I really enjoyed the nightdrive at Satara and would definitely do it again!
The nicest nocturnal animal we saw was at letaba though, when we didn't even do a nightdrive. (Will do a TT in about 2 weeks, so stay tuned)
