Saturday 2nd Jan. 2016

Today we found a new beach, which we liked a lot. Small, quiet, few people, only two restaurants far behind and nobody selling "things" or begging O\/ O\/

The fishermen were still working on the beach. These were sailing out to anchor the boat

That done they jumped into the water and swam back to the beach; it was quite a distance

Others were preparing the net for the next outing

Image

Here you can see how far out the boats are anchored

Image

Team work. The net was enormous and must be very heavy

Image

Image

Image

Image

When the net was onboard they all started to push the boat into the water. Another heavy work!!

Image

The ones going fishing jumped on board before the last push

Image

and off they went......rowing   No motor on the fishing boats here

Image

Image

The rest of the men, who had probably been out very early in the morning, started to move away and I presume to go home and have lunch........most likely fish ;-)
One was putting on his loincloth in order to look respectable \O

Image

In the meantime the fishing boat was getting further and further away

Image

Image

A last zoom before it disappeared

Image

If you want to get rid of a few kilos, come and work as a fisherman here \O You might need to get your muscles fit first though =O: =O: and I fear that the pay for a very hard work is very poor

After a couple of lazy hours on the beach, the tourists went to one of the restaurants and enjoyed one of the fish, which had cost so much fatique from the fishermen.
