A day out to see the flowers

Post by GavinW »

We decided that we had had enough of lockdown and needed to break away

Kgalagadi is still 2 months away so we took a day trip to Postberg

We left home at 7.30 and arrived at the queue to get into the park at just after 9am

We took about 45 minutes to get into the park. O/\

First up we headed to the bird hide on the access road to Geelbeck

Just some pics along the way

There wasn't too much going on in the hide, and we didn't stay too long as others were wanting to come in as well (social distancing and all that )

We did see some birdies though

After that, we had a great breakfast at the Geelbek restaurant and set off to Postberg itself

Before we head off to Postberg, Debbie also had a flamingo pic

It looks like a beautiful day and it must have been great to breathe lots of fresh air in beautiful surroundings. It is a lovely place \O

Thanks Lisbeth, it was a stunning day after a cold and stormy week in the Cape.

Klipspringer, yes it was very busy. We got there early and those arriving later had a wait in excess of 2 hours just to get in.
We left at about 2pm and the cars were still queuing to get in

What a great photo of Debbie! A flower among flowers ^Q^ ^Q^

Postberg is really fabulous in this season; a pity that it is so short :-(
