Yep we have 2 teenagers nowLisbeth wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 4:48 pm H is already a teen I hate to think of how many years have passed since we were first "introduced" to her
The times that I have never seen anything was on a walk in the KTP and a KNP night/evening drive in the KNP
well, last time you were spoiledonly managed to find one aardwolf this time
Have you signed the petition? https://chng.it/SQ5L9K5d
We are normally spoilt with aardwolf sightings when we go in the winter
Generally when you reach 13 RP
Loads of springhares around at night... makes the place look like you're in some miniature version of Australia
Thanks Pumbaa... yeah I think we were a bit unlucky as there were only 2 cheetah in the park when we were there. I know they plan to bring others in to help with genetics but not sure if they've arrived yet

Re: Green MZNP
Our last day started out with a very nice sighting
Soon a youngster came into view
It's always amazing to see them and even better when it's just you on your own with the sighting. We continued on and a short while later found another wandering off

Re: Green MZNP
Continuing our morning drive, we found a well hidden buffalo bull
Plenty of the usual suspects up on Rooiplaat
We spent some time watching the antics of some blesbok that were charging around for no apparent reason, and showing off some acrobatics in the process
We were just commenting at the end of the drive how we hadn't seen any meerkat this time round when suddenly one popped into view... a nice way to finish off our visit

Re: Green MZNP
Blesboks enjoying life
Maybe MZNP would be an excellent place to hide some rhinos. There must be space enough and difficult terrain for poachers
Lovely pop-up meerkat
I am sure that I would love the place when it is green
so much for taking the time to write a TT
Isn't it time for an ADDO trip?

Re: Green MZNP
So lovely to see rhino with horns, never mind rhino, Peej!
And great general sightings, plus a predator!
Is that the end? Thanks so much for another report, with brilliant pics as always!

Re: Green MZNP
I'm not sure how much more space there would be in the park for Rhinos Lis... the terrain areas they hang out in are somewhat limited there as it is a small place.Lisbeth wrote: ↑Fri May 13, 2022 10:38 am Blesboks enjoying life

Re: Green MZNP
Yeah very nice to see them with horns intact RP
It is indeed the end... no cats really this time which was a shame, but we knew that the lion population in the park has been drastically reduced and they only have the 2 cheetah currently so the chances aren't that great at the moment
