This is the post on San Parks
Now we should all be very happy that Kruger is doing so well, just think about it, you get to the camping site, difficult to get a spot if you are too late. Then you look around, NOTHING.
From the horses mouth, the reason:
Taxi associations have to pay R150.00 per person not to sleep over for the 1 night obligatory stay. SANParks
But now, the transporters make a reservation, pay en route with a load of people on the way out, only the minimum fee of R180.00 + 1%, go out, load the next load come in the next morning, go through, come in again, go through, come in again.......Get the drift.
Is that the reason why they are asking for peeps to exit pass at the office, cannot get an exit pass at Numbi

Hold up guys. This could work in our favour!! 
Once at the gate, find a taxi, and negotiate a small price for the reservation number. The operator would be happy to get a few bucks back, and we will be happy with accommodation that has been paid for.
