A great morning drive
Lovely pics of the waterbucks, chameleon, misty dawn, monitor and even a leopard

Nice drive so far, Rog!
Ja, leopard crowds, but at least you got a shot!
So too scared to take the Voortrekker road?

Re: Urgent work trip May...
We went by Afsaal for a break and around Biyamiti by this stage it was
A fish eagle
Managed to get some fun Giraffe pics
A Snake eagle hoping for lunch
and Ellie bowsing
A pretty flower for SO
We checked into camp and unpacked before going out later to do some loops...
A dehorned chubby unicorn
and a chilling out Dagga boy
Along the S118 a mini traffic jam for some sleeping Lions we did a drive by shoot and carried on .
and then a super close sighting first for a long time ...
with that we completed a true big five sightings day and we got to enjoy stunning sunset on the way to camp
some chops on the braai that night with wood fire as well .

A big 5 day with a blackie with horns!
I'm sure you had a at least?
Nice chops, with wood!
Ja, it is totally relaxing driving back after such a day.

Re: Urgent work trip May...
Leaving camp the next morning we decided to drive some loops then head off to Berg en Dal for some fuel .
The gang was returning back down the main road
The sun was rising through a cloud layer
We spent a bit of time with the Gang but soon they were on their way again .
We did a loop but it was very quiet apart from this little fellow
We went over Steilberg and coming down towards Berg en Dal we ran into a roadblock
He was trying to reach the fruit in the Marula trees so we just sat and watched ,he did appear to be in Musth
While we were waiting we got to enjoy some birds Green Pigeons
A juvenile Batleur
The Ellie had moved up the hill and started working on another fruit tree .We decided we could pass and we drove up and stopped to watch
The Ellie suddenly shook the tree and we got pelted with falling Marula fruit .It was actually quite funny in hindsight but quite when it happened . He then proceeded to scoop up the fruit and we moved off as there was other vehicles also now waiting .
Some more eagles on a nest
We filled up with Fuel and had breakfast of chips and Coffee at the restaurant before heading back to camp to do some work .
