Re: Examining the after effects - May/June 2023
After lunch we went and drove some loops around Pretoriuskop and enjoyed the scenery .
Some Lilies crossing over the smaller rivers
An Ellie popped out of some bushes
Of course we ended up at the Dam again
The Hippos put on a show waking up
The sun was dipping just before we left
On the drive back to camp the sun was low
That evening at camp we met up with RP for a quick get together

Nice, Rog!
I was at the dam too, no lions or carcass!
But then you get up much earlier!
Glad you saw sable, I know you have been trying for a long time!
Love the impalas on that rock!
Ja, it was a great get-together!

Re: Examining the after effects - May/June 2023
In the morning we packed and left to go to Crocodile Bridge as the H4-1 was still closed we decided to drive to Tshokwane then the H10 and to Lower Sabie and onto Crocodile Bridge
Our first sighting was a Lovely Batleur
e drove the S65 and turned onto the S1 there was still some smoldering from a recent burn
Lake panic was very quiete apart from the residents
We stopped in at the new Golf club and had a lovely breakfast
We left and carried on towards Tshokwane .The train was still stuck on the bridge
A Giant heron was hiding in the shade as the temperature was rising rapidly
We stopped into Leeupan
Another Heron in its nest
We stopped in a Tshokwane for a brief toilet break and carried onto Nkumbe lookout
A Coucal along the S128
On the Lower Sabie bridge we found a King fisher
and a local before we drove to Lower Sabie for a break

Nice pic of the golfclub What is new about it?
I love the pics of Leeupan What are the small white flowers? Probably Leiberg's waterlily also called dwarf waterlilies
I wonder how high the occupation % on the train is
