Lovely stuff, Ex! \O

Nice lions, and very interesting Dikkop sequence!

(They do creep me out with their dead eyes, though... )

And I love your scatological instant hobby there! ^Q^ lol

It's funny how one couldn't tell that there were slow times on your visit as well, looking at your photos. But of course, it's a condensed version of the sighting one has and I know all too well about those days when nothings seems to be willing to move in your direction 0*\

The leo is Nonisa but that's all I got. I kinda lost track on the leos ever since I've started to track the cheetahs even more diligently. O**

Interesting dikkop encounter!

13 sleeps for me until take off O\/

(I assume everyone knows that last one was actually a large pile of rocks. O** )

Sis - hahahaha thanks for the very informative poster ;-)

RP and Pumbaa - thank you both, and for tolerating my silly side 0-

Mel - yes, the vast majority of days this trip were quite full of sightings, more so than usual, but the brief stay in the Nossob area was super quiet. We felt very lucky to have seen so much this trip, all in all.

Wishing you a GRAND trip! O/\ 0()

Everyday around noon the Secretary birds fly in for a drink

Lastly, it's always nice to see Cardinal Woodpeckers, as they don't seem to be quite as abundant as some of the other species, in our experience.

Our last day in the park also produced lions. There were 3 subadult males at Kij Kij finishing up a meal. I don't know if there is only one male trio currently, or if there are two groups. It could well be the same ones from yesterday evening's sighting at Samevloeing, who moved north during the night. -O-

Will close out this TT with a tongue-in-cheek "Be On The Lookout" warning... 0:

Alas, the "WOKE" mob's ideology is slowly seeping into the Kalahari. It's very subtle, but here are a few examples I've witnessed over the last few visits...

From the wanna-be Social Influencers strutting their stuff trying to always be the center of attention

Image

to Microaggressions

Image

and MACROaggressions

Image

the need for "Safe Spaces"

Image

and TransFemales invading women's sports!

Image

It was all just too much.

What's this one's Pronouns?? Bite and Me?!?

Image

I even witnessed DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) criteria wherein one is not hired on the basis of merit, experience, or expertise, but simply by relying on superficial traits to get chosen for a job.

Image

But the icing on the cake was the presence of a Drag Queen, yes, right there in the Kalahari!

"What is this world coming to?!"

**********

In all seriousness, another wonderful trip had come to a close and we both felt so very lucky to have spent time in our most favorite place on Earth. Thank you each for sharing in our journey.

I am not a lion lover, but you have presented them very nicely and on a meal \O

The X of the secretary Bird ^Q^

The jackals cannot eat without fighting over the meal, also when there is enough for everybody 0-

Lovely woodpeckers \O \O

The "woke" tendencies in the Kalahari =O: =O:

Dear Sis, thanks a heap for a fascinating TT, well-written, humorous and full of great photos ^Q^ ^Q^
