This was recently published and of course I had to add it to the library.
The Helm bird guides are divided into 2 genre.
Groups of birds ie Shrikes, Sunbirds etc.
Or regional: Southern Asia etc
They are always excellent publications with good illustrations and plenty of info.

This one covers the usual Southern African countries, but also includes Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi.
The illustrations are good, but tbh aside from the extended country coverage, it is a bit samey. I have a few Southern African bird guides that are similar.

I do have a lot of wildlife related books.
I had planned to catalogue them all during lockdown. But never got round to it. 0*\

I went to SA 3x times in 2022.
2x Covid delayed Kruger trips and to see my family. And Xmas in Cape Town.
Nothing in 2023
Jhb and Kruger this coming August O\/
