Development Plans for Augrabies

(Another?) Conference center, a hangig bridge, a camp at Oranjekom Augrabies Management Plan November 2012The development plan for AFNP will constitute a second phase upgrading of existing tourism infrastructure, subject to the availability funds (estimated cost R8 million). A new conference centre will be funded and built by BMW South Africa. The feasibility of two new developments will be explored: a hanging bridge over the gorge, and overnight facilities at Oranjekom. Development of these projects will subject to the availability of funds.
Any new products or activities developed in future will follow the zonation and nature based responsible tourism principles, as well as all legal requirements governing development.
