Day 19: Tembe Elephant Park
Here is a video from the Hide with the big bulls uCici, Mabhudu, Siqualo and some other animals
And another video from the late afternoon drive with the Langa male, a short encounter with Mkadebona in the thick bush, Reedbucks, bushfire and Bushbabies at night
The only and last ever glimps of Mkadebona a really remarkable bull

Day 20: Tembe Elephant Park
A misty morning for our last outing in Tembe
This Martial Eagle merges almost with the fog colours
A perfect spoor a fresh one

Love the mist pics Toko.
Do you have a better pic of the Eagle?
Think it may be a juvenile Crowned as the head seems "blonde" from what I can see.
Great spoor pic.

The eagle was far off and I could hardly see it through the mist
But looking at the video clip .... it is obviously a sort of pale-crowned eagle, juvenile, of course! Mystery Mist Bird

Crowned Eagle, Juvenile. (Lack of dark head markings - clear in the video when it turns it's head).
Great sighting Toko.
Just seen your posts while I was typing this. -O

Day 20: Tembe Elephant Park
Meanwhile we followed the spoor of the rhino the mist was getting thicker and thicker but luckily we found it
We encountered a breeding herd of elephants, they crossed the road in front and behind of us -O very curious and inspecting the car

Day 20: Tembe Elephant Park
The mist was still pretty thick. A tree crown protrudes out and up there two brown big ones
... two young Bateleur on the lookout staring into the white.
We're en route to the swamp, maybe we will see again the lions. Indeed, we find tracks on the road, but that does not look good, the tracks lead straight into the bushes there.
And we are lucky again and get a glimpse of these two strolling uphill, they're just a bit late and behind the rest of the pride, just like us.
Finally, it's clearing up a little and we can have a coffee break in the palm oasis.
Stillness there
Then already time to leave - off to the gate
I'm not sure if I will return to Tembe one day. Without Mkadebona it might be somehow triste
