Day 18: Tembe Elephant Park
Another two bulls came in
Isilo did not go for the next round, but headed back to the water outlet, sipped a bit and strolled along to the far side again
... and he came back again and then slowly passed the bulls, the hide, the acacia bush, had a sand shower and went back to the bush

Day 18: Tembe Elephant Park
Mahlasela Pan
It was a quarter past three by now and still no sign from SO he must have a big time with his Samangoes
The bulls had all gone after a while, but other visitors kept me entertained
a thirsty Bataleur
Oi hi Schatz, you have already arrived , cheers
SO was now busy with his drink, so I had time to take of Yellow-billed Kites and at least got two acceptable ones
Time for a quick late afternoon drive, let's go and do sundowners at the swamp

Day 18: Tembe Elephant Park
We headed again towards the swamp area and on our way there was nothing to spot besides the omnipresent Nyala
On the Eastern swamp road we stopped for sundowners and watched the sunset
Sun in the Silver Clusterleaf
Along the swamp road we found at least some animals -O
blurred Reedbuck pair
Back in camp we had dinner in the "restaurant" and some Bushbabys joined us
And at the end of a perfect day I had my close personal encounter with Isilo

Dr Joubert agrees Isilo is something special and confirms the size differentials compared to smaller elephants in stature!

Day 19: Tembe Elephant Park
Isilo had been around feeding in the camp for all the night and only left early in the next morning -O
Some spoors of Isilo all over the camp
Camp residents are up early
Not long after sunrise we are on the way again, heading to the western sand forest searching ...
... searching for blurds
... searching Lemon rope sand forest
