Some folks are avid fishermen, and some practice the art now and again.
Whether you are a regular fisherman or not, give us an idea of what your favorite spot is and what fish you generally target there.

What's your favorite fishing spot?
Man was placed in charge and given the duty of caring for all creation, are we doing it?

Fresh water: Albert Falls Dam, carp, barbel and bass
Salt Water: Mazeppa Bay, shark
All catch and release
Albert Falls Dam
Mazeppa Bay, with its “own” island, which one can fish off and is accessible via a walk bridge

Re: What's your favorite fishing spot?
Great spot BC, I have spent some time fishing about 5 k's north of there at Cob Inn. Got some nice Garrick in the estuary, also catch and release.
My preference by far is skiboat fishing. Many years ago I owned a boat and we used to launch at Umkomaas. i am toying dangerously with getting another boat and spending my time off the coast of Moz. Now that I live in the lowveld it is quite doable. SO had better not read this

Yip, iNdy I also do the ski boat thing, but don’t have my own boat, so have to wait for an invite from mates
Umkomaas is a heavy launch
I will join you in Moz
My main thing is rock and surf, but will only start on that later as many may ask me stop because I'm hanging the forum

Poor Flutts, I have never suffered from any form of motion sickness - touch wood, but have had the odd unfortunate person that thought they were going to die on my boat.
Ja BC, Umkomaas could be hairy, we used to launch at the boat ramp about 200 meters up river from the bridge, warm the motors up whilst in the river then head out under the bridge through the surf. If there was a sandbar, it could sometimes get the adrenalin going, but no sandbar it was a breeze.
SO's not looking, so when I get another boat I'll give you a shout

Ja, most of them are in your neck of the woods, they're in short supply here
