Ebook Readers - Have you got one and are you happy with it?

I'm currently considering buying one (ja, I know, I'm a bit behind with technology).
Not only because it could be environmentally friendlier than the tons of books
I consume but also because there seem to be interesting books out there that are
only available as an ebook.

Please, share your experiences with me!

I haven't ventured there either yet Mel. -O I still love the feel of a book in my hands!

I actually like holding a proper book as well.
But like I said - I experience some limits now on my favourite topics.

I have a Kindle and I find it indispensable for traveling purposes. Books weigh a TON, so taking enough to read while on vacation gets problematic, especially with two of us. Airline add-on fees are also getting out of hand, and the smaller airlines really adhere to weight restrictions. With an eBook you can take more books than you'll ever need and it weighs practically nothing. While it can get somewhat expensive, libraries have books to download, so those are free. (While at home or on a brief trip you can still have your "real" books.)

Thanks for your feedback, ExFmem. But more questions to follow:
Are you happy with the Kindle and which one did you pick for yourself?
Do you thing the 3G think is mandatory or are you okay with
downloading the stuff when at home / not being dependent on external
internet connection?

For Fathers Day my kids (ie the Mrs) bought me a Kindle Paperwhite.
