There's nothing much publically happening with the hotels at the moment, ExFmem, so we babble on a bit! -O

I translate/support where possible, but your point is extremely valid!

H. represented AW at the last IAP meeting, and came out of there in esteem...he is normal! ;-)

You will realize that these are sensitive issues and certain
participants in this debacle have rights too service rendering!!

For me as outsider/disputer cannot publicly make comment on
their behalf and hence need too sit and wait for comment!!

I represent a public forum internationally and need too be sure
that I do not saddle them with unwanted legal issues, so...

just forward your grievance direct too SAN parks!!

Seriously, H E, thanks for all you do on behalf of AW and conservation. It's not important whether I comprende or not. 0/0

Hey exF it seems I need too read you in some special
manner.

At the best of times, filling a common interest
on a public forum, especially nature conservation, will not
be the easiest part-time practice endeavored by most,
trying too captivate personal interest, as an author of such
manner.

However you seem to be lacking comforting information that
will set your heart at ease, that too say,.........?

I'm sorry that my common banter is not fulfilling, however
how can I help,...

Just too sit and wait for comment, is not the answer!!!!
Too place reliance on does that practice in EIA's, funded,
by the source in question would be unjustified.

I feel that a new approach is needed too clarify certain
situations..

We need more transparency here from custodian!!!!
We cannot wait till contractors "needs" become fulfilled!!

It's all very good and well too hear that funding has stopped,
momentarily though I believe what we really like hear is,...
maybe jay or nay,......

We are left sitting with, wishey/washy while the clean wear
gets donned elsewhere!!!

The Skuks hotel will be a Sanparks funded iniative!!

When speaking to those involved in that EIA,.. Aghh long term!!!

When speaking to those involved with Malelane,.. Aghh,...
endless reasons for no constitution!!!

What did happen fast was contracts being awarded to contractors
for a lodge in Skuks, too support the Conference Centre!!

Now by way of argument???... what's the difference between Lodge
or Hotel?????

The way I see the Tipheheni Hotel project, it resembles no less than
a conglomerate of lodges, no less than a hotel!!!

I have a problem, and proudly mine,.... try stripping it from me!!!

Some reading on Environmental Impact Assessments here
The Department of Environmental Affairs briefed the Committee on the background to the environmental impact assessment regime. There had been legislation in the past, but this had not been fully satisfactory. Problems with the current regime were that a strategic process was not being followed. There was a perception that environmental assessment practitioners were not partial. There were cost barriers. More authority needed to be delegated to provincial and local level. Interim measures had been put in place.
and Part 2 here

Thanks, Duke!

Will look later, but this sounds typical and ominous:

The Department responded that the formation of the body for practitioners would improve the aspect of impartiality. There were offences prescribed. Members proposed that government should have the option of launching a parallel assessment process where if felt misleading results were being offered.

I've never heard of anything "misleading/impartial" by professional companies anywhere...only "inconvenient truths"...
