We had quite a bit happening in the garden this week. The black collared barbet visited whenever the Crested Barbets were not around
Now how do I get that nesting log
You no help Duke, might as well eat while Chris is not around

We managed to get some shots of the Karoo Thrush.

Love your captions on the barbet, Duke!
Even if some species you'd like to see avoid your garden, I still think you get some good sightings there.

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

For the first time we got Cape Glossy Starlings and they had a peep in the nesting log and a warning from Chris
Chris got his work cut out now as the starlings are not giving up as easily as the black collared barbet, but Chris is winning so far

Re: Garden Bird Pictures
Lovely pics and captions!
I've seen White-eyes in the trees next door to us but for some reason they are avoiding our feeders!
This morning I got very excited when I heard a Piet-my-vrou calling. I rushed outside and found a Black-capped Bulbul calling away madly as if he was a cuckoo!!
