I heard a lot of excitement on Saturday morning while doing my chores,
I slipped into my corner and found loads of Cape White Eye who stopped by for a bath.... O\/ O\/

Notice the one who is puffed up on the left. You could see him whining.... if you don't stop splashing, i will leave....

Not perfect yet - but the birdie is... ;-)

Later in the afternoon, I was watching the finches and weavers feasting on new food I had put out, when a visitor pulled in.

I call this : Clash of the Redheds.

At first they pretended not to notice each other,

then the finch gave the black collared barbet some lip....

Image

it took one 'booo' to scare this little finch and he decided to f...f...f...fly off. -O -O -O

I have taken Sharifas advice and am now practicing in the garden. Herewith a few.

Image

Another first - a southern boubou. Seen him plenty but he would never sit still long enough for me to a good shot.

Red wing starling.
Image

Another one that seldom sits still long enough to get a decent photo. I caught this one while he was having a drink of water.
Karoo thrush

A karoo thrush and cape glossy starling eyeballing each other.
Image

A white eye on a pointsettia. I also find these little guys very hard to photograph.
