Nice pic of the Boubou...never had one of those in our garden. And the White-eyes are difficult to photograph - they like to hide!! -O

I must have a good look at this birdie as I am sure I have seen one before but gave it another name..

Nice, stf!
That boubou also looks a bit funny to me...watched them a long time in Pta as a youth...different bill and posture, more like Cape robin, but without the white eyebrow? Maybe a juvenile one way or the other...or my memory shot!? -O

Re: Garden Bird Pics!!
Some shots from todays session in the garden and a HUGE surprise. When my eyes focussed on this bird the feeling was the same as when one sees your first leopard. It is a wonder that my photos came out so clear as I was shaking like a leaf and afraid that it would fly away any moment,
A Karoo thrush drinking from our water feature.
A green wood-hoopoe.
Not quite right but I am getting there.
I think this is a juvenile masked weaver.
Coming up next - The big SURPRISE.

Excellent, stf!
Have sent the Boubou on for comment...just to make sure! Ironically, my Mom also launched an enquiry as to the "new melodious birds" in our garden in Pta!
