FANTASTIC BARCELONA!!

Post by JustN@ture »

This was a surprise trip as I had planned a trip to Kruger for May. SO was going to Barcelona (Spain) for business and I had planned the Kruger trip last year, about 6 weeks before they left I was invited with O/\ O\/ O\/ O/\ .
So needless to say the folks enjoyed the Kruger on my behalf and must say after seeing their photos and hearing about their sightings it too was an amazing trip. The business had planned to go include the Grand Prix as their business meetings would be the week after the GP. As I am doing a trip to Kruger in November I jumped at this opportunity to tour abroad so we went ahead and bought the GP tickets and did all the necessary passport and visa stuff.

About two weeks before departure date SO’s business trip was cancelled   . We had a quick discussion that night and decided that we had already invested in the GP tickets, hotel accommodation and visa's that we would do the trip ourselves and make it a holiday rather than a business trip. We checked dates, booked the flights and were set to have a fantastic week in Barcelona. It will be a short report and mostly photo's so hope you enjoy ;-)

SO and I enjoy cooking so we did an evening cooking class; this was our attempt at making their famous paella.
Was good wine and good food...still wondering if the wine was the reason the food was good -O -O -O

One of the sites to visit is the food market “Mercat de la Boquería” in La Rambla Street … must say the best food market I have visited.

Never been to Barcelona but I too heard it must be an awesome city.
Now waiting to see more - the starter looks very appetizing. -O
