We did general site seeing the first two days as we would be at the GP the next two days and would then do more site seeing the last day or two, city life is amazing, we explored more out of the city areas where there are less tourists which was good to experience the locals ;-) . Will post some of the sites and then the next installment will be the for the GP fans \O so to start will be some of Gaudi’s famous masterpieces [O] .

We had a good laugh at our lunch when we decided to try a local eating house near the Arc de Triomf site but not in the main tourist area 0*\ . This is where we found out the language gap problem as the lady serving could not speak a word of English so we pointed at the menu item to find out what it was and were served 2 of them -O -O -O . We had the same battle trying to order something to drink but were able to show here what we wanted, the wine was the best part of the meal as it turned out we had ordered dry bread with egg omelette on it =O: =O: =O: =O: and we had had something similar for breakfast just with butter, cold meats, sweet pastry and juice … but was still food to fill us. The olives and chips are complementary \O .

Then just some general stuff…plenty of statues around too

Came across a spar on our explorations and had to try one of these below…was very tasty

Some fantastic architecture, but the Torre Agbar looks rather suspect

I hope you saw Gaudi's "Sagrada Familia" church? It was started in the 1920th and I think that it is still not finished 0- -O
