Another trip through Rietvlei, with my nephew (at nearly 30 his first time in a Nature Reserve

), and as alway there was something 'new' I saw... $\O$

A Rufous naped Lark under the rainbow...

First time in Rietvlei and now I see why they call it the Fan-tailed Wydah...

A Cape Longclaw colleting nest material.. $\O$

A thick knee - seen before. I loved the early morning light shining on it

A greater striped swallow taking off after a drink in the puddle in the road

Seeing double

And as we were leaving - A reed buck - a lifer for me... $O/\$ $O/\$

We saw the reedbuck in the same place as you (I think, judging from the vegetation around him...must be where they hang out!
