I took my brother to Rietvlei for a few hours on the afternoon of 18 October 2014.

We were very fortunate to this meerkat on sentry duty while the others scurried about in the veld.

RIETVLEI will be opening their gates tomorrow - 8 November only - at 4.45am

Guests are asked to drive safely in the dark in the park. ^Q^ ^Q^


I will be there, searching for the serval \O

At otter bridge I actually caught a 'skrik' when I saw this Black crowned night heron totally in the open - wow O\/

Great photos Amoli, especially the Whiskered Tern. ^Q^

I think the Pipit is African Pipit & you also got a Little Bittern. O/\ (Squacco Heron pic).
