Punda Maria is in a unique mixed vegetation region, and also the best birding camp in Kruger. Predators and big game sightings are sometimes scarce, however, due to poor grass growth and dense mopaneveld. The best district for rare antelope.

What to look for:

Buffalo, nyala, sharpe's grysbok
Baobab tree, pod mahogany
Crested guineafowl
