It's appearance is pretty distinctive, so it may well be this:

(Hemiptera: Reduviidae)Assassin Bugs (Platymeris biguttatus) are a small bug originating from the tropical regions of Africa. They are mostly black with yellow legs and twin white spots on their back.

Platymeris biguttata is not recorded from South Africa. But it is a Platymeris sp and they have a reputation for spitting venom lol .


Platymeris guttatipennis is the only one officially recorded from SA

Sarangesa phidyle - Small Elfin

This is a common little skipper in dry habitats throughout the Afrotropical Region. It prefers wooded areas, especially along river courses and settles with opened wings on the ground or on the surface of rocks.
