Rather one night at Pilanesberg than no night at Kruger

I must have a look at the accommodation there again. We've camped at Manyane and stayed in their tents but the ablutions were horrible. From what I remember their chalets are quite expensive.

They are! I looked them up two years ago, when we were supposed to go to Botswana and Pilanesberg was a good place to overnight. I also looked for B6B's in the neighbourhood, but there was nothing decent. Maybe it has changed

Re: AW Pilanesberg Mammals Challenge - Chats & Discussion
When i was a small kid my parents told me stories of the young Kruger elephants they transported to Pilanesberg and how these youngsters charged cars and damaged them.
After all these years those stories still trigger something in my head and i never had the urge to visit the park

I have done a day trip in 2016 and then the teted camp was quite OK.
I can check if I have some nice sightings if you want (will be 200 points or so)
