Well done on the DWARF BITTERN Michele I have only seen one in far more likely Kruger Park in a very wet season about 9 years ago ..Rooiputs under water again ??

Just when I think there are no more birds for me to see in the KTP I managed to add another two birds to my list.

The first being Marsh Owl at Gharagab on 7/09/2021.

My second new tick for KTP was an African Palm Swift flying over Mata Mata on the 10/09/2021.

WOW, what a congregation :shock: That alone is a sighting that doesn't occur too often!

Is that a Verreaux's on the right and is it possible that there is at least one other marsh owl :-? Maybe even more.
The feathers on some of those of which you can't see the faces don't look like barn owls. But it might be the light playing a trick.
